Our Korean-inspired line is produced in Seoul, the skincare capital of the world, and formulated on Vancouver Island. Although we may not be the engineers behind it, we promise to always drive innovation in sustainable development across environmental, human, and animal domains. We will continuously strive to make a positive impact on our planet and the people living on it. Skincare can be a daunting task but it doesn’t have to be. It's not just a routine, it's a self-care ritual that allows you to take a moment to focus on yourself, breathe, and relax. Coastside skin was created because that’s where we feel most at peace. On the coast. We believe many of the world’s best kept beauty secrets come from the oceans, forest floors and endless array of plant and fungi species. Nature is our best and wisest teacher, and there is so much health and beauty magic we can learn from her. By taking advantage of what nature naturally has to offer and innovatively formulating with other extremely effective ingredients we are able to implement a results oriented approach that leaves you with hydrated healthy skin. Our philosophy is simple: affordable, effective, quality plant-based products. Beautiful skin requires a commitment, not a miracle. As we journey through life, our skin goes through various transformations; from hormonal imbalances to environmental stressors, our skin adapts to new challenges. Often people ask us what we stand for, and to be honest it’s very simple. Supporting and respecting your choices while helping you find a skincare ritual that makes you glow from the inside out. A few things we want you to know: 1) We’re not a fan of labels unless it gives a concrete factual piece of information. For example, we do not use any ingredients tested on animals. That is a fact, which is why we label our products cruelty free. But labels like clean and natural don’t provide a concrete piece of information to our customers, so we don’t like using them on the off chance we mislead you. 2) We love plants and will always add as many cellular extracts to our products to provide you all the incredible benefits they offer. 3) We believe in respecting each other because everyone has different beliefs. There’s no black and white rule when choosing skincare or make up. What you choose to do with your body is your choice, just like it’s your choice whether or not you like fragrance or silicones in your products. Everything serves a purpose. We are simply here to provide information so you can make informed decisions on what that purpose actually serves. 4) We LOVE to learn. We created our skincare guide because we found so many of you do too! This is our safe space to share our journey as we continue to explore one of the fastest growing and complex industries in the world. 5) We love the little community we have built and give thanks everyday for your support and encouragement as we continue building something special. 6) The gulf islands and BC coast will forever be our happy place. We feel so honoured to have grown up here and been able to learn from nature and our communities about its rich and beautiful history.
